Use this Google Sheets unpaid invoice tracker to keep invoice balances, follow-up owners and disputes visible while your accounting software remains the financial source of truth. Make your own copy of the Blank Template before entering actual accounts.

What the spreadsheet checks
Record invoice reference, due date, original amount, confirmed payments, approved credits, invoice status, owner, last contact, next check, dispute and supporting record. Column H calculates outstanding cash. Column P flags missing payment or credit checks, invalid amounts and contradictions between the chosen status, balance and due date. Column Q highlights collection priority.
Enter 0 explicitly when no payment or credit has been confirmed. A blank field remains unverified, even if the displayed balance is calculated. The Worked Example is a fictional snapshot dated November 1, 2026; the Blank Template checks status against today’s date. A disputed charge needs an authorized review, not an automatic threat of collections.
This tracker does not send reminders, impose late fees or store private customer account data securely. Keep those records in an approved system.
