How to log hours using Clockify’s Time Tracker

Hello and welcome back to another Top Biz Guides tutorial. In this video, I’m going to show you how to use the time tracker in Clockify to log hours and create timesheet entries.

Here are the steps:

  1. Start Time Tracking:
    • To start tracking time, go to the Time Tracker in Clockify.
    • Click the “Start” button. This will begin tracking your time.
  2. Enter Project/Task Details:
    • In the “What are you working on?” field, enter a description of the task or project you are working on.
    • You can also select a specific job or project from the list if you have previously set them up in Clockify. This helps categorize your time entries.
    • You can add tags to your time entry to further classify your work if needed.
    • Indicate whether the time is billable or not by toggling the “Billable” switch.
  3. Stop Time Tracking:
    • When you are done with the task or project, click the “Stop” button. This will stop the time tracking.
  4. Manually Add Time Entry:
    • Alternatively, you can manually add a time entry without using the timer. To do this, click the “Add Manual Time” button.
  5. Specify Time Details:
    • Enter the clock-in and clock-out times for the task or project.
    • You can also set the duration manually by entering the number of hours and minutes worked.
    • Choose the job or project related to this time entry.
    • Add tags and specify if the time is billable.
  6. Save the Time Entry:
    • Click the “Add” button to save the time entry.
  7. Edit or Delete Entries:
    • If you need to edit or delete a time entry, you can do so by clicking on the entry in the timesheet and making the necessary changes or using the delete option.

This feature allows you to accurately track your work hours and categorize them for reporting and billing purposes.
